God Connect: Daily Renewing Your Mind, Body, and Spirit

on February 16, 2012

Have you ever been confused about the direction of your life or what you need to do next?  In times like these you might find yourself weighing out the pros and cons of a scenario or asking your friends for advice.  Hopefully, you find yourself in prayer and looking to God’s Word for answers.  Although you may be doing all the right things, sometimes it seems like it’s just not enough.

It can be very frustrating to feel like you’re doing all the right things, yet you’re not getting any answers or seeing any results.  The Bible teaches us in Proverbs 16:3 what to do in such instances, “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”  Finding the answers to you questions or problems sometimes takes more than just weighing out the options, talking to friends, or sometimes even more than a simple prayer.  It takes commitment.

Today I challenge you to commit yourself to the Lord.  Make it your desire to learn more about Him.  Develop a new level of intimacy with Him through prayer and through praise.  Make Him the one thing you truly seek after.  In turn, He will establish your thoughts and bring them to pass.

“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”  Psalm 37:5
