“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1

Praise is defined as the offering of grateful homage in words or song, as an act of worship.  As Christians, we have so much to be grateful for.  God has chosen us, redeemed us, and sanctified us.  He offered His only son as a sacrifice for our sins.  He guides us, protects us, and comforts us each day.  He’s always there with us and gives us a listening ear even when we feel like no one else cares.

The blessings God has poured out on our lives are innumerable.  Just the thought of who God is and what He’s done for us should cause us to keep His praise continually in our mouths.  Our hearts should seek to praise Him with every word and action.  Unfortunately, many times we let our negative attitudes get in the way of the continual praise we should be offering to the Lord.

Today I challenge you to keep God’s praise continually in your mouth.  You can do this through prayer, song, testimony, and even through your everyday words and actions.  Praising God continually will draw you closer to Him and set you apart from the world, making you a powerful witness for Christ.

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3
